When is my MAC needed?

I'm in the process of switching to TalkTalk and I'm supposed to be switched on Friday.
No-one has yet asked me for my MAC and I'm starting to get a bit worried.
Has anyone else switched to TalkTalk and knows when I should be contacted to give them these details?
Thank you very much

They should have asked for your MAC when you made the initial enquiry to obtain broadband services from them0

They didn't ask for anything - which I thought was very weird! I'll give them a ring later and see what they've got to say.0 -

You should have given them your MAC when you applied, otherwise they will assume that it a new provision. I think that it's a bit unfair to blame them for not asking for it. Blue text on this forum usually signifies hyperlinks, so click on them!..:wall:0 -

It says on their websiteTalkTalk wrote:If you don't already have your MAC code you can still sign up and we'll contact you when we need it. Once we have your MAC code we'll be able to migrate your broadband to TalkTalk and in doing so you should only be without broadband for a couple of hours.0
