Well it looks right to me. The wine is reduced to £4.99
So 6 x £4.99 = £29.94 less 25% = £22.44. However, they still need to take off your £10 code unless the reduced price has taken you under the qualifying spend perhaps?0 -
well i have just been to my local tesco to see what they had. imagine my luck when i found there was a hardys chardonnay on the 3 for 12 offer! imagine then my disappointment when i found there were only five bottles of it there!
i thought about combining three of them with a two for 12 offer and getting a small bottle of black tower for 1.48 but that just means the bargain isnt as perfect.
so i asked the nice lady who checked for me and she said they were getting a case of that very wine in this afternoon and she would be delighted to apply my name to it for me to collect at half two.
a good mornings work.0 -
So to confirm, this takes 25% off the original price of the wine? So for example, a white wine on offer at the moment is £11.99 down to £5.99, so it should be 6 x 11.99 = £71.94 and 25% of this is £17.96, so 6 x 5.99 = 35.94 - 17.96 = £17.98 to pay?

Not quite. 25% discount only comes off the full price if it is also on 3 for £12 or 2 for £12, ie a single bottle is still the full price.
When a single bottle has been reduced eg, £9.99 down to £4.99, then you only get 25% on the £4.99.0 -
no. that is right in theory but wrong in practice.
if a wine is reduced to 6 pounds and you buy 6 bottles then you will get them for 36 minus 25 per cent: 27 pounds.
however, if you wanted to buy wines that are in the 2 for 12 pounds promotion then you would buy your six wines at eight pounds each, that being 48 pounds. 25 per cent of that is 12 pounds. remembering that these wines are 2 for 12 you are actually going to get all six for 36 pounds. it is at that point that the 12 pounds discount of the original price of the wine is reduced. the six bottles therefore cost you 24 pounds as opposed to the 48 they would have originally cost you.0 -

Are you on the wine site, or the grocery site? I'm guessing you're looking at the wine site, but I think the offer is on groceries, isn't it?
Just looked, and the wine site is 25% or more off wine (which will already be shown) but on the grocery site, you get 25% off when you buy 6 or more from a selected range, which will be taken off at checkout.0 -
Just recieved my delivery, I ordered last night with the rest of my groceries and kept my fingers crossed it would work today
I ordered:
2 x Tesco Finest Tapiwey Vineyard Sauvignon 75Cl @ £8.99
2 x Tesco Finest Cabernet Carmenere 75Cl @ £8.99 each
2 x Tesco Finest Ryan Shiraz Rose 75Cl @ £8.99 each
25% off wine discount - £13.49
Wines 2 for £12 - £17.94
Total for 6 bottles = £22.51 or £3.75 each
I know I missed the £2 voucher by not going in store, but very happy with my purchase, thank you for posting!0 -

so off i went to tesco to pick up the case of wine she put by for me this morning that was 3 for 12. i took it to the self service and it didnt apply the 3 for 2 discount!
so i said to someone that it was wrong, he went to look at the the 3 for 2 label on the shelf and came back and said it expired on november 20th but he would give me them at four pounds each anyway. he put them through and then it applied the 2% discount so i got the six bottles for 3 quid.
it wasnt the bargain i was looking for but im still happy with that!0 -
What am I doing wrong? I put 6 bottles in my basket that are on 2 for £12 = £36.00 When I go to checkout it stays at £36 - no 25% off. Help!0
