Doubt it... If you where to cancel, they'd probably not accept a new application from you for a couple of months.
  • thanks,,,,weve said that here,,,yeah we could cancel but they may have small print over banning me LOL

no big deal but annoying all the same

Can't see why they would not want the business if you can cancel at the price you are on.

Cancelling and re-applying should be fine, but speak to their Retentions team before you do anything, they may be able to honour it for you. The last thing they want is an early life termination.
  • Re-applying new contract now. Then cancel the old one. I just did it with orange and there was no problem.

I bought a sim only 12 months contract with orange online. An hour later I realised I bought wrong tariff. So I applied for the right tariff. When I got 2 sims delivered, I called orange to cancel the mistake one and they are ok.

I would try just phoning up. Quicker than waiting for email. It would be a lot simpler for them to just change the tariff rather than cancel and reapply.
  • For you, it's going to be better if they will change the tariff, because you won't have 2 credit checks.

For them, it'll be better because they won't have to take back a return and refurb the first phone.
