Hi,ALL
I have just got off the phone to 02 and have been offered this upgrade,
250 mins

with an L.G shine phone for free for £25 a month on a 18m contract.
my question,
1,Is this an ok deal or could i do better?
2,not sure on this handset should i have gone for the nokia 6300!!
3,can i back out now and send the phone back when it arrives.
Thanks

im not sure mate but my advice to you is be more patient. You posted this about 2 hours ago. Posting again saying ANYBODY!!! wont make somebody suddenly answer and there's no need for it.
anyway as per your question
i don't think it's bad although personally i would prefer more texts. Put it this way on standard pay as you go rate those texs are worth £15 and i bet theres more than £10 call time in 250mins and a free phone. It aint bad.
I don't think you can back out once the contract is signed because it binds you into paying £25 a month for the next 18months, and if they had people dropping the contract straight away they would loose and awful lot of money on those so called 'free' phones0 -
Read the long thread about O2 retention deals - well, start at the recent end and go back a bit
You could probably have done a bit better, but it depends whether you speak to upgrades or retentions
There may be a provisional period for this, but you'd have to ask them0 -
Anybody!!!
hi matey, The deal that they have offerd you is absolutely rubbish!!! ...I would not accept that if I was you.....you could get that silly deal without having to go through retentions...if i was you i would call their bluff and ask for your PAC code this will force them to then offer you a much better deal.0 -
Thank for the replys guys, but can i ring them back and say that i am not happy with this deal ask for my PAC code and try and get a better deal. Can i send this phone back when it arrives or have i no choice now...
Thanks...0 -

Yes, you can send your phone back. Send the un-used back with the returns label provided. I would also recommend you pay the extra £1 or so and get the recorded delivery via Post Office to prove you got the phone back within the 14 days of original dispatch.
I had an offer from O2, they sent the new phone out to me and then they decided to mess my new tarrif up by charging double the cost of line rental and dropped 400 txt msgs. So when you take a new offer from them, you have 14 days "trial/cooling off period" to get that phone back to them.
My final piece of advice =
* if you get new contract with O2, demand details via written confirmation whether it be via post or email. *

How long have you been with 02?
I have a £30pm contract for which I am now paying £12 pm. (200 mins 100 texts)
I got it down to £15 last year and just before it was up this year they offered me a 20% discount for being a loyal customer (2 years?!)
Just sent me my new K800i as well for nowt.We all evolve - get on with it0 -
Thanks!!!
I have been with 02 for 4 years now!!! i am not a heavy user now as i have a company phone! so i only need around 200mins 100txts,but i would like a new phone now,so what deal should i be looking for!!!!!!!
Thanks0
