Dispatch Time Stars

I sold a few items this month and have found that my dispatch time stars have dropped from 4.9 to 4.6. I always post the day after payment (or Monday if payment is the weekend) and all the feedback I have received has been good - "quick delivery" etc. I've had a couple of items that were sent as standard parcel, so it could be that they took longer to arrive. The other stars are fine, so has anyone got any advice? Thanks

I must remember that "Money Saving" is not buying heavily discounted items that I do not need. :hello:

Mine are 4.92 although like you I always post same or next day.
Not much you can do really once the parcel has left your hands...
I also leave feedback immediately saying something along the lines of 'great buyer your item was posted today' so that the dispatch date is clear. I still get emails asking when the item was posted though0 -
4.6 is a worry, have you checked your expanded seller dashboard, you really don't want there to be more than one or two low stars. 4.6 means you really want to address the issue before you hit the restricted zone.
I use standard parcels quite a bit and haven't noticed a decline in my stars .I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the eBay, Auctions, Car Boot & Jumble Sales, Boost Your Income, Praise, Vents & Warnings, Overseas Holidays & Travel Planning , UK Holidays, Days Out & Entertainments boards. Hi Soolin, yes I've checked and there are no low stars (1 & 2 states 0%). I had one person message me after a week because her item had not arrived but it turned up the next day. It was a large sleeping bag that went as SP. It's a shame some buyers judge on the day they received rather than the date on the postage stickerI must remember that "Money Saving" is not buying heavily discounted items that I do not need. :hello:0

Have a look at using couriers instead of standard parcels, especially for over 2kg items you should be able to find a better, quicker and possibly cheaper service..0

If your stars dropped so quickly and so fair implies that *all* your buyers are marking you down, and that is almost more parrying than just one or two leaving a low star

I have noticed that listings don't seem to display seller's dispatch time any more, only estimated delivery time (based on dispatch time and postage method), so those using Standard Parcels may look slower than those using faster courier services for similar products. I tend to use SP for anthing in the 1.5-4kg range and couriers for heavier items.0

The dispatch time is still there in the postage box. eBay though is so glitchy at the moment that everyone is seeing different formats and getting different info.
I had some delivery times showing that we're almost impossible to achieveI’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the eBay, Auctions, Car Boot & Jumble Sales, Boost Your Income, Praise, Vents & Warnings, Overseas Holidays & Travel Planning , UK Holidays, Days Out & Entertainments boards. Most of my standard parcels went missing or were very slow.
I now use collect plus - a bit faster, cheaper & tracked.0 -
I don't think there is any sense to the star system. I have just been looking at an item and checked the buyers feedback. They are a small seller and feedback is excellent with comments on fab condition, prompt delivery etc, the stars are 4.8 but the feedback suggests 5*. I just think some buyers will never click the very satisfied star. The most potent weapon of the oppressor is the mind of the oppressed. Steve Biko0

They enarly killed my business this time last year, so I think it really much depends on area.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the eBay, Auctions, Car Boot & Jumble Sales, Boost Your Income, Praise, Vents & Warnings, Overseas Holidays & Travel Planning , UK Holidays, Days Out & Entertainments boards.
