Congratulations, as a mum of 5 year old twin boys I can tell you it's great having twins, I love it. Enjoy!:)

I have 5 yr twin boys too. Mine weren't early (in twin terms). I went to 38 weeks. However with that in mind I was massive towards the end.
It's not necessarily twice the expense. I'm sure that if you post somewhere all the twin mums can let you know what's a waste of money and what you dont need double of.
If you don't find out what flavour they are (I didn't and was convinced I had one of each) it is fantastic. Everyone thought I knew and just wasn't telling. Have a good look on other websites. I spent my maternity (feet up, wearing hubby's joggers and XXXXL t-shirt) reading the multiples thread on MN.
It's true. People will have no shame in asking about your twins. My worst was 'Are they natural?' (concieved?). Me - 'You mean like yogurt?'.
Enjoys it. You'll never do a supermarket shop in less than 2 hours!0 -
Thanks loads to all of you  We are excited as well I should have added. We have a 2.5yo daughter too, but she was a pretty good baby, so not sure she has prepared us for 2 at once!
They are DCDA (seperate placentas and seperate sacs). From what I read online that means only a 10% chance of identical, most likely to be fraternal. But with this kind you can never know before birth.
My wife has no twins in her family that they know of, hence the surprise! Not sure if that means more chance if identical thoBecause those are the ones that don't run in families.

You might find it useful to link in with TAMBA (Twins and Multiple Birth Association). Also your local sure start children's centre may well run a multiple birth group, that you might find helpful0
