Buying A New Mobile (Advice Required)
Options
Hi,
I currently have a Nokia 7320, however it's become run down quite badly and it's not worth repair.
I want to upgrade to something better, obviously I would like the usual capabilities such as texting, calculator and alarm clock. I'm not sure what else modern phones have that I would like/need; I guess an internet connection would be good and as I hope to setup my own business any other usual accessories would be good.
What has been proposed to me thus far by my local mobile shop are as follow and I would greatly appreciate any advice.
I Phone 4 (8gb) - £329.99.
I phone 4 S (32 gb) - £350.
Nokia 710 Lumia - £99.99.
Samsung S - 299.99.
Samsung Galaxy Ace 1 - £99.99.
Samsung Galaxy Ace 4 - £64.99.
Thanks in advance

Nice android phones can be had for around £50 or so. Can't see why anyone would want to pay hundreds of £ for an Iphone.
Consider a ZTE crescent (T-mobile vivacity or Orange San Francisco II)
or Huawei G3000 -

A no-brainer imo. And a nice little 'support community' has developed on that thread. Priceless.0 -
Samsung S - 299.99.
Did you mean a Galaxy SII (S2)? £300 for a Galaxy S would be nuts, and I'm not sure there is a non-Galaxy S?
Sounds to me that you need to try some phones out in a shop and see what you like.
You also need to work out whether it would be more economical to buy a phone outright or on a contract. This will depend on th phone you want and your usage.
Having said all that, the G300 people always reccommend here at the moment certainly sounds like good value (I've not tried one). I suspect you could even buy one to try out a pretty decent spec modern smartphone, and then sell it on for not much less if you fancied something else.0
