Steph fantastic news about the boiler :j:j and you've made me think now as I always forget to fill in those manufacturers registration forms - I thought all you needed was the receipt from wherever you'd bought it from:o

So often this money saving malarkey feels like months of scrimping only to be set back by one unavoidable thing (the boiler, in your case; a death in the family that meant a lot of expensive airfares and funeral outfits in mine (yes I know I sound callous. I'm not! But it wiped out all the advances I'd made all year. If the money could have brought him back...but it didn't, you know?)) so it's lovely when you get a victory.
Also, I need to know more about this!
Pleeeeeeeease? This is seriously my one vice.
Hi,
I know, I am soooo relieved not to have that big plumbers bill. Its bad enough that I will need more oil in February without having to pay to repair a brand new boiler.....Phew
Have pm'd you re the Kindle xxx0 -
Thanks Cazzy & Rising for your replies.
Its just so nice something working out in our favour for a change. Unexpected disasters is what has put me off trying to combat the debt in the past. Because sometimes it just feels pointless trying to dig our way out when life always seems against us.
Last Christmas our car engine blew up and cost us £1800, which meant getting yet another Credit card.
The sooner we can get an Emergency fund the better.
I finally managed to transfer my Broadband & Line Rental to Tesco. It will save me £36.60 per month. Not to be sniffed at.:T.
Thanks again guys. Its sooo nice to feel the house warming up. I actually slept in a bodywarmer last night it was so cold.:)0 -

Happy new year Steph!
Great news on the boiler, how fantastic!
Here's to 2013, a real and proper money saving debt busting year :jCan't think of anything smart to put here...0 -
Eeeek, I think the plumber just called. I recognised the number but I was too scared to answer the phone.:o.
They did'nt leave a message but am wondering if the boiler manufacturer has called them to say that there is a discrepancy with the warranty.
Over the years with all our debts I seem to have grown abit phobic of the phone ringing. We have caller display and very often if I don't recognise the number I won't answer it.
Would'nt be surprised if we get a bill for the boiler now
If I would just answer the phone, I would have found out. It could be nothing. I am so silly :(0 -

Can I ask about this too, please? It's something I could cut down on!
Well done on the warranty, nice when things like that work out!
Edit oh no, just saw your last post. I hope it's ok!0 -
Hi Steph,
Just stumbled across your diary and spent the last hour or so reading through.
I'm going to subscribe because I love your motivation and think it'll really help me.
Good luck, hope all is ok with the plumber.Ninja Saving Turtle0
