Internet connection dropping

my internet connection keeps dropping and after many weeks of investigation by plus net and myself it seems my motherboard may be at fault and requires updating
(this was checked by using another computer on my line without any problems)my mother board is an ASUS M4N68T-M-LE-V2(AM3)
My operating sysytem is windows 7 32bit

There appears to be a fix for dropping of lan i have down loaded the fix but i dont know how to open the fix (rom)and install it can anyone help

Hi there,

By the sound of it that's a BIOS update? If so there should be a guide on the ASUS website on how to install it, it's usually along the lines of putting the ROM and some boot files along with the flashing program onto a USB stick or CD and then booting the PC from that.
