Thursday 22nd November - What small DFW things will you do today??!
When we start out on the DFW trail we do loads of "big stuff" that makes quite a difference to our situation. These include having our lightbulb moment, cutting up the credit cards and cancelling Sky and the gym.

But once we have done the bigger stuff, we often feel that we are not making the same amount of progress, when in fact the small steps are helping us form good financial habits and helping us get closer everyday to staying in control and becoming debt free, or staying debt free.

Examples could be hanging washing out instead of using the tumble dryer or leaving your purse/wallet at home to avoid the risk of spending.

So be proud of those small steps, they really are important.:money:

    Good morning all!

    I'm going to start posting on this thread more often, reading other people's lists makes me realise how much I can do to become DF :j

    Today I will -

    Check banking
    NSD (only need a roll for my soup and my boss will buy this)
    Dinner from the stores (remembered to take meat out to defrost for DH before I left for work)
    Coffee and juice free at work
    I WILL NOT BUY ANYTHING FROM AMAZON BLACK FRIDAY :rotfl:
    Do swagbucks, onepoll, and check the competitions boards

    Can't think of anything else for now

    Morning LPP & OF! LPP so sorry to hear about your tooth - I absolutely hate going to the dentist, like have full on panic attacks while there :o, but I have found a dentist who is gentle and tries to ease my anxiety. Just go you'll feel so much better afterwards x

    OF how cool, wish I could see the person who finds it! My list has died a death as well, might venture to see what's what but have so many projects on at the moment....

    My list for the day:

    * [STRIKE]checked banking [/STRIKE]- bills account looking good before the 1st of the month annihilation!
    * [STRIKE]checked cc statement[/STRIKE] - need to work out where payments are coming from
    * all meals from stores - get something out of freezer when db gets here and I know if he's staying for dinner
    * db plastering our kitchen ceiling today :j saving of a minimum £100 I'd say? Also borrowed steam cleaner day before yesterday - saing of £21 :T
    * [STRIKE]update spending diary for yesterday's spends[/STRIKE]
    * [STRIKE]re-look at water bill if credit is for old house call and request its returned[/STRIKE] will received cheque £19.19 in 8-10 days :T
    * call lady about kitchen
    * call man about collecting kitchen and if not book a van
    * smile because tomorrow is Friday and payday :beer:
    * go collect freecylce item and collect something from ex-mil to return for her
    * [STRIKE]return library book & renew others[/STRIKE]
    * [STRIKE]get free thortons choc[/STRIKE]
    * see if I can get photo cup code

  • Morning all. I just have time for a quick post then on with the stitching. The Christmas fair is in two days and I still have absolutely tons to do :eek:

    Rising - the 101 things to do in 1001 days list is a challenge I started years ago (https://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/discussion/2648105) based on the Day Zero website http://dayzeroproject.com/about/ Many of us started but I'm not sure how many kept it up. My 1001 days finished in September but I only completed about 40 of the things. My new list starting on January 1st will be more realistic, and hopefully life won't get in the way this time :o

    My DFW list so far:
    • porridge for breakfast - warm and filling
    • fed and watered the chickens
    • made packed lunch for DH
    • checked banking and paid a small chunk off CC from selling broken jewellery last week
    I will also:
    • check for surveys
    • complete rag dolls for stall then just the clothes to make tomorrow
    • take photos and get odds and ends onto Eb*y
    • make granola in Slow cooker
    • empty money pots to gather together a float
    • try not to panic :D

    I think that's it for now, I'll catch up later
