LAUNCH OF NEW MOBILE NETWORK: The People's Operator
Options
"Here’s how it works. You get some of the best mobile rates and great UK coverage. You can even talk and text with anyone else on the TPO network for free (make sure you check our terms for fair usage policy).
Here’s the bit that matters. We’re different because 25% of the profits are given away to great causes through our new TPO Foundation.
Even better, you can direct TPO to give 10% (after VAT) of your monthly spend on calls, texts and data to a cause of your choice. You can choose the cause you would like to support when you join The People’s Operator. (Full terms). Whether that’s your local youth club, community group or animal shelter. No cause is too big or too small.
It’s really as simple as that. Just by switching network and using your mobile phone as usual, you can make a difference.
We're a Pay As You Go network for now. But make the change today as we will be launching great monthly deals and SIM-card-only deals very early next year."

Best Mobile Rates ?
Calls 12.5p a minute.
Texts 7.5p a minute.0 -
...and you can also buy a bundle if you use data, 500mb=£17.50
*insert scream-smiley here*0 -
I think they have omitted the word STUPID from their name. Insert after 'The'.0

Very expensive! They seem to have taken a very selective view of their competitors' tariffs in the 'compare us' section also.
#37.50/mo for 150 min, 500 sms and 500 meg of data. It's not 2002!
Much cheaper to get a GG or 3 sim, and then make a donation of your choosing to charity yourself - assuming that this new venture is heavily financed, there won't be many (any) profits for them to worry about giving away for quite a long time.0 -
who's network are they using?0

Incredibly expensive!
NB It is 25% of their profits that is gets given to "great causes", not 25% of what you pay them.
Go to a free mobile company (Ovivo) or a cheap (Giffgaff or Nowmobile) mobile company and make a donation to charity each month. You and the charity will be far better off.
They must think people are really stupid.....0 -
