disinfectant question

I use Safe4 disinfectant for litter trays, food and water bowls, litter scoop, litter and food mats etc. It is used by many veterinary surgeries and as the name suggests has been formulated specifically to be safe for animal use, plus it comes in a number of pleasant, though not overpowering, fragrances such as apple or mint or unfragranced if that is more your bag

blimey I had no idea about "cloudy" disinfectant. I use Zoflora which goes very cloudy. Better nip out tomorrow and get something else. Thanks for that tip.

Just looked on the zoflora website and it has pictures of cats and dogs, it says to rinse and dry thoroughly after use.
Is it the same for dogs - cloudy discinfectant?
I swill my back yard with Zoflora, it says on the bottle that it is safe once it has dried.
I do then rinse it with clear water.
I didn't know about the cloudy being bad for cats but don't have any cats now anyway.0 -
i run mileys and cocoas litter tray under hot water or boil kettel and leave for a few mins, then i just use a dab of ciff lemon and sugar in fresh hot water with a sponge and clean it and wrinse.
if not your fancy in doing that or have none of them baby wipes are pretty decent (non scented or non aloe vera) and rinse well after and bag and chuck the wifes in bin not toilet flush.
or if you have a bit of vodka hanging round use about a cap full of vodka in a bowl with white vinegar (small small amount) and some simple*TM hand soap (natural stuff not any old hand soap) just a little roll around in the water will do.
kiwi fruit keep the skin eat the fruit and use the innar side of the skin on stubborn smell stains in the tray also brilliant as a toothpaste or stains on enamel.. not too often though on your teeth acids and all that! (great if you just had a meal or cofee in azda buy 1 and a bottle of water go in toilet and brush your teeth with the inner skin and eat the innards peel the skin easy if it ripe and wrinse with bottled water).0 -

Personally, I think if there's alternative products that do the same job, why risk it. Check out Mistrel, it's well raved about for stuff like patios etc. too0 -
you can get the stuff the vet uses. its very strong and you need to follow the instructions carefully but it works very well.0

You can use bleach of if you want, go ask your vet regarding that stuff.0
