Ok - so has anyone been spotted yet??? Should I buy some pins tomorrow? TBH I don't think I've come across anyone on OS that is from Wales - a few who visit or have family here maybe. Any OS'ers living in Wales???

Had to chuckle at the 'bodysuit' thing. I love the (*) thing too - it would make a brill badge!

OMG this is the first time I've encountered this thread!!

My nicks aren't damp, they're wet!! I'll have to go change!

My DH thinks I'm stonking mad!! I've laughed, splattered wine over the keyboard and screen and myself!! He's being a po-faced damp squib who does not appreciate the second-hand retelling of this thread!!! God sometimes I wonder about my choice!! It's hilarious! Has he no sense of humour? Am I tipsy? His response? you've only just got that back from repair!! And your point is???

Thanks for one of the best trips down memory-lane!! In no particular order, nappy pins, body suits, buttons, crashing around toilet cubicles, inability to refasten crotch-fastenings!! I think I,m tipsy, (drunk) hope I won't be too embarrassed tomorrow!!

I'm off now, but you're a great set of people!!

I still have some of my nappy pins ... come in handy for my quilting projects, emergency clothing repairs, threading elastic in casings ... gosh I'm sooooo tighfisted!!!!

So do I and my babies were born in the early 1960s but I can't bring myself to chuck them out. I also have three Harringtons nappies left from those days that I use as duster/cleaning cloths They are getting a bit thin now but they are excellent for use, as you can give them a boil and they are as good as new.
    Brilliant for window -cleaning.

What I can't work out is how I managed to produce a nappy pin for DH to make a hole in something with yesterday and yet I put all mine in disposables :D

CM I'm so glad this thread gave you a good chuckle :D

Has anyone spotted people wearing the pin?

I've been looking but haven't seen any.

Does anyone know how we could get mse badges done? like the car sticker it would be great to advertise the site too. How about yellow with a big smile?

:o Um, I found one the other day when OH asked - took me a while to work out where it came from as both of mine (one still) have had disposables. I had one of those wake up and the morning and suddenly remember moments - when my Nan passed away I inherited her needlework tin and there was some pins in there. This means they were probably used for my Mum & Aunt so they're about 60-ish years old - I guess I should wear one with pride in honour of my very OS Nan!:D

  • I've somehow discovered this thread, laughed a lot, its great remembering all the fun moments with those bodies, shell suits and stuff. Mad, but great times! xx
