I recently bought a payg orange sim which came with 250mb a month free intenernet for 12 months to put in my iPad 2.
When I put it in the iPad I got messages from orange telling me my phone number, exclusive offers and even one saying I wil get 250mb free Internet for 12 months. I have signal and 3G but everything I try and load a page it says "you are not currently signed up to a data package".
I have phoned orange and they have tried updating my settings and I've already got the latest iOS and network setting through iTunes.
Anyone got one of these sims already or got any ideas on how to make it work?
Thanks in advance

I've got a PAYG / Sim Only T-Mobile Sim which was for an iPhone 4/S which comes with 12 months free Internet, but to get it to work it had to be activated in an iPhone 4/S and setup the free Internet (via text) that way, once all working then I put it in my iPad and Robert was my Father's Brother (as they say)...
So double check the details of the Sim Deal and see if there were any rules which may need to be followed first.

Not all sims are be same. The iPad expects a data SIM (similar to a Dongle), and networks are clever in provisioning the SIMs to shop handset SIMs bring used in this way.
3UK were the first to impose this and the others are following. You need to use a SIM provisioned for data use - this will allow access to SMS (not on the IPad) but not voice calling.0 -
Orange (or EE as they now are) sell SIMs specifically for iPads - did you buy one of these, or is it a standard phone SIM?0

I'll try it in my sisters iPhone tomorrow, but when I put it in the iPad it said it was activated and had the 250mb for the month loadedOrange (or EE as they now are) sell SIMs specifically for iPads - did you buy one of these, or is it a standard phone SIM?
It's a standard sim but it said in the description that it would work in an iPad0
