Service pack 2

Hi I have a PB Easy 6100 laptop and have set it up with XP Office. When I went to the MS site for updates expected to get SP2 come down but didnt. Have since sent for the CD Rom should I install or will the laptop play up. Should it have downloaded as an auto update ?

People seem confused of the difference between Service Packs for Microsoft Windows and Service Packs for Microsoft Office.

The current Service Pack for Windows XP is SP2, the current service pack for Microsoft Office is SP3.
