Well, it is possible that you've already got it. Regardless of this though, there are several other ways to get it besides ordering a CD, including a standalone download.

As far as Microsoft Office is concerned, you can get all the necessary updates for it here.

you have to roll it back......it sets up an uninstall folder on your hard disk

most of the problems are software clashes, most of the big ones like Nortons etc have update patches to cure any bugs

I use XP Pro and have had SP2 since it was first available....haven't encountered a single problem re OS or software - as has been previously mentioned in this thread - any glitches were software(such as Norton av) compatibility issues and now seem to have been patched ages ago.

Have now installed the SP2, in the end did it from a disc I had, probably from the freebie computers mags.

Thanks for the heads up on SP3, does anyone know if this is a large download too?

Do you mean SP3 for Office XP? Because that's a 59mb download.
