hi i work 6 1/2 hours per week and my 2 year old go to nusrey every day for 1 1/2 hours per day which works out to 71/2 per week what i get paid goes all on his fees. When i went to see a lady at the jobcenter she said if i did 8hrs per week i would get his fees back but the school where i work said they can not incres in hours by 15min per day coz of there buget. If i work 15mins per day volenree would that count .

Why cant the school you work at, not increase your hours by 15 mins per day, but not pay you that, 15 mins, so you are working the 8 hours, but getting paid 6 1/2 - best of both worlds? School gets an extra help for 15 mins per day, they keep their budget and you get the fees paid back

rukia under what circumstances would the DSS pay for 8 hours of childcare per week?, cause I only thought working tax credit would pay up to 80% and thats if you worked 16 hours, does anyone else know ?

excuse me? for a second you sounded like a wanabee mod! since you are not "MSE tigtag02", shhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh :)

no, FYI it was not answered in post2 as post 2 said about getting a 2nd job at 1.5 hours - my idea was just for her to work, for free, at the same place, per day.

(Am kinda scared to answer this is fear of being the kiss of death AGAIN!!)

    But.....

Good point Scarlett - I kinda got carried away with the tax issue (or not) - I do think you have to be working 16 hrs to claim tax credits - maybe its part of another benefit

:rotfl: :rotfl: dont get your knickers in a knot!! It was an observation, how do you figure that is MOD like :rotfl:

Post1 Q: If i work 15mins per day volenree would that count .
Post2 A: No, but you could try getting another job for 1.5 hours per week and that would suffice.

Sorry :o i miss read the situation lol - long day

I know what you are saying there, and that was posted, but what i meant was

If the school have to pay for the 15 mins - could the OP not give that money back as a "donation" every week to the school - so in therory, the OP is working for free for the 15 mins?

I suppose they could in theory it depends on how much they are prepared to accomodate her!!

They would have to find a way of it not going through their books!

I personally think that OP would be better taking on the cleaning job that her pal has offered!
