If you pay with your Clubcard credit card you get more points, so this statement is correct.

Hi, how much would I need to spend on my tesco credit card (dont always do shopping in Tesco), to accumulate £1000 in points to then be able to 3x. This sounds like a huge amount we will need to spend - and it probably is when some kind person works it out for me! but we are going to just start using credit card for everything and then transferring money from current account as we go..

Purely based on the 1 point per £4 spend you'd need to spend £400,000. Obviously this would be reduced by 'standard' clubcard points for any spend in Tesco.:- If everything was spent in Tesco only £80,000 :-)
