p I got a very low goodwill offer,it only went back to 2003,(when you read the small print)but the date of the offer covered from 1993 onwards.(i actually got the card in 1991)
Banks typically keep records for six years, you are being offered a goodwill gesture going back nine years. If you are not happy with the amount offered then refer your complaint to FOS, but without comprehensive evidence from your own archive I fear you won't get any further. FOS can take upwards of eighteen months and the Bank can withdraw their goodwill offer.

You didn't need the terms and conditions in order to complain, nor did you need to do so in writing.

Brilliant! I will do my letter to cahoot tomorrow!

I know it seems a silly question but do I put in the letter that I was about to let a PPI company to do the work but changed my mind?

Thanks for your reply, it gives me great confidence to pursue what I feel is rightly mine.

Do as amersall says. Put your complaint in, and make sure they know that all correspondence goes to you.

    Hi
Just to let you you know I have just received a letter last week from santander and they have rewarded me £5000 approx and this is already in my account. Thank you sooooooooo much for all the advice. I would not have pursued my claim if it had not being for this forum!!!!!!!!

    Regards

    A very happy person
