no nothing about iphones can someone please help?

daughters thinking of buying a friends iphone 3gs but someone at work today told me that it will prob be unsupported in approx 6 months? i have no idea what this means , the phone is being offered to her for £80 , its white and 16gb if thats anyhelp, thanks

    It's unlikely to get any update to the next operating system ie IOS 7.

    It should be good for a while though if it's on at least IOS 5 as there is still good support for apps at IOS 4.3 I think.

    3GS is is a few years old now and the performance will not be great.

    My wife has one and it struggles with IOS 5. In my opinion a better option would be budget android phone.
