Have orange breached their contract

I have been unable to use my orange mobile for 6 days now. Orange say that a major signal is down and they are doing everything they can. I called today and they have given me 10 compensation and say that they have not breached their contract as they haven't done it on purpose and doing all they can to fix the problem. I hadn't put the phone down 5 minutes when I needed to reply to a text and the blooming signal is down again. If I want to end the contract it will cost me £200 otherwise I have to lump it.
Any advice welcome, thank you

Lots of similar threads. All replies say, given the time that you have been out and compensation offered, you have no case. Suggest you read the Orange t&c to satisfy yourself.
Problems like this do arise and networks need to be given time to fix. Also, it's a mobile phone and service is available elsewhere, so you are not completely blocked as you would be if your account had been cut off.0 -

What he said!
It is in the T&C's that they cannot guarantee network 100% of the time.
Also I think that people don't often realise that when masts go down, it is often cause by outside damage. It's not always a case of it being a failing on the network. They do try and fix it as soon as possible and like Guy's Dad said, it is only one area that is affected.0 -
Did you READ your contract, or just assume a breach?
Mobile networks NEVER guarantee their service, and if the network is down (as opposed to you being in a place where they do not expect or provide coverage) they will attempt to expedite restoration.
If this is a site local to you and service is interrupted, they will usually offer to provide compensation that roughly equates to what your line rental would be (in recognition of your inconvenience) but this is a goodwill gesture only as will be seen if you actually read the contract you agreed to.0
