All my bank statements and phone bills are all on-line

You can print one out can't you?
Anyway they will send you a list of what they need (if they need it) and they will say exactly what is acceptable and what isn't in terms of format (printout, copy, certified copy) and how recent it has to be.
Usually it's one item for identity (passport, driving licence) and one for address (bank statement, utility bill etc).
I wouldn't get too worried about things that are only a possibility at the present time.
I'm quiet nervous as to why they could not verify me electronically.

It could be anything. The server could have been down at the time for example.

There is really not much point in catastrophising :-) or speculating, but it certainly does not mean you either likely to get accepted or declined.

That's true lisyloo, I'll wait and see what happens, in the mean time I'll continue to use Capital One to help improve my history :)

Still no. Vanquis is indeed part of Vanquis Bank.

But, Aqua is part of SAV Credit Ltd. (source: http://www.savcredit.co.uk/customers/aqua/ )

Aqua then outsource the customer service side to Halifax, which is why the phone number, address and statement style is the same as for halifax credit cards.

    Did you get the card?
I have numerous qualifications in Business and Finance, Accountancy, Health and Safety and am now studying Law.

Don't rely on anything I write as it may be wrong!!!

Yes they are SAV credit but it also mentions under licence by
    Progressive Credit Ltd?
Aqua credit cards are issued by Progressive Credit.

As mentioned earlier they used to have connection with Halifax/BOS.
