    I'm not sure why recorded post would make it any safer though? It is normal mail and rarely ever gets a signature on arrival.

    The only way Royal Mail suggest anything valuable is sent is via special delivery- but of course a cheque is not valuable in any sense at all.

    I don't even have one, through choice.

    Cheques are an excellent way to get yourself defrauded, or if not get yourself defrauded then aid fraudsters in general.
