Was told I could reduce my mobile contract, but now...

I signed up to a new contract 6 months ago from phones 4 u on 3 for 18 months.
I got half price line rental and was adviced to have a contact of £45 which at half price would be £22.50 and was told I could reduce my contract after 6 months to £25.
Now 6 months later, I am told I can not do this until after 9 months. (and could this change again in three months time!)
Aswell as this I was told the signal would be good as 3 uses a signal from 02, and the signal is terrible.
I feel that I have a contrat that I did not sign up for, any advice?
Where I was hoping to save some cash I'm ending up spending more.

Unfortunately you've been mis-sold by the consultant in Phones 4 U, nothing can be done as its all verbal and cannot be proven. It is a 9 month wait before you can downgrade and even then you can only go down 1 tariff which would be the TT700 at £35 per month.
