Rejected for Halifax One card... but no credit search?!

Wanted to borrow 1500 for flights, the woman suggested 1800 just in case they went up.. & thats what we got.
Maybe it was A1, maybe she said 1A
Hopefully my information will help someone who also is rejected, but when there has been an error on the system.0 -
1800 is low though as has been said and suggests something adverse in your credit report. I'd be concerned if offered only 1800 with no other cards and 50k income. Worth pursuing
I don't think the OP has adverse data on her files do you after she got accepted for a capital one credit card with a 20k credit limit.0 -
thats why you were rude to me.. I got a 2k limit, if I said 20k (though I can't find where I said that), then it was a typo 0 -

Look at post 18 I quoted you on it.
OH you also deleted that post as well.0 -
I edited that post as soon as I posted that because I thought the link would be more useful for you..and I edited it before you had replied to it, which is why I said I didn't get you
That said, I still didn't notice your quote said 20k and not 2k0 -

And your post was made at 3:30pm, so just a genuine mistake0 -

Honestly, some people on forums are extremely helpful and knowledgable, others would argue black was blue, & not know why they were arguing it in the first place
since when does halifax even ask you?Don't put your trust into an Experian score - it is not a number any bank will ever use & it is generally a waste of money to purchase it. They are also selling you insurance you dont need.0 -

There is a difference between lying and inadvertently giving out incorrect information.
It might be fair to question their competence. But to question their honesty is a tad strong.
Having worked briefly in an Halifax call centre I agree with this statement, I was told once to tell isa savers that the bank of england had put up its interst rates (or was it lowered) anyway when I was questioned that day by someone who knew rightly they hadn't moved up or down, I began to question my bosses.0
