The banker wears a pair of these, that's why you never see him.

I think the long desk is a tunnel and someone is running up and down it opening the boxes from underneath and changing all the money amounts.....

I could condense the programme down to 5 minutes.

I;ll have that one, that one, that one etc. till all the bxes have been opened. Job done.
make the most of it, we are only here for the weekend.
and we will never, ever return.

No need to rig a programme which is both played and watched by the stupid.

I haven't watched it in a long time, but just because you don't like something doesn't mean everyone is stupid that does.

I do have a friend however who records it on Sky and then watches it fast forwarded for most of the show and then just watches the bit at the end at normal speed, which is usually the most entertaining. That seems a perfect compromise to me, as I always found it went on for too long.

The whole show can only exist with a skillful host - as observed, nothing happens for 30 mins, it takes talent to make a show out of that.

There is no 'banker' on the phone (it's all over talkback earpieces) from the production team in the gallery who know exactly what is in which box because they put it there. Saves the trouble of RFID too!

Or more specifically it's a man with no general knowledge or understanding of probabilities pointless.

"Blue, Blue, Blue". Dear God - it is astounding that they manage to spin 15 seconds of content into a 40 minute programme.

Surely bored people? All you're doing it watching people open boxes with Noel pretending there's some higher meaning to it all.

sorry but the show is hardly boring,
    this episode is great entertainment

I for one, being offered 4/5/6 Thousand would NOT worry about the large sums and would be VERY HAPPY to take that amount.
I guess it depends on how much you need that amount right now. If 4K will pay off all your loans/credit cards then taking that may be more attractive than hanging on for a possibility of much more. If you don't need it as much and 4K would just be an extra holiday then it may be more exciting to take the gamble.

Don't forget, the "entertainment" value of the show is in the tension, the gamble, the backstory, so a rational competitor is possibly less likely to make it through the auditions.

would you {or anyone else} honestly turn down 4/5/6 thousand for no reason if someone turned up on your doorstep ?
Unless they had an ID card from Premium Bonds, I'd be highly suspicious:rotfl:
I need to think of something new here...

I don't mind the show but do find it a bit tedious at times. I think it depends on the contestant playing. despite what is in their box, sometimes their personalities really shine through and it makes for a great show :T
