Deal or no Deal

Often watched in my house and a hugely popular T.V. Program, but it can be fiddled by the organizers, Not that I'm accusing Channel 4 or the makers of the program But:- by using tiny radIo frequency identification tags (RFID) placed in the boxes. These tags can easily be programmed with info and remotely read from a distance giving the banker and team info of the individual boxes content. These tags have been around for many years now and are used in industry for product tracking and control.
I wonder if Noel Edmonds is aware of this possibility?

While I agree it is possible to do what you say IMO {and my partner watches this every day} the greed of the people playing does not make it a viable thing to do.It seems to me that once a person is selected the "big money" is the draw and it is not hard for "the banker" to read the player and offer a fair sum to get the player to leave.
I for one, being offered 4/5/6 Thousand would NOT worry about the large sums and would be VERY HAPPY to take that amount. Overall people are greedy and the people that constructed the program know it, would you {or anyone else} honestly turn down 4/5/6 thousand for no reason if someone turned up on your doorstep ?

If they want to fix it then instead of messing around with RFID it would be a lot easier if the bloke who puts them in the boxes just told them which box had which money in.

  • Is this a praise for the potential of the show, a vent at the fact that they do or do not do this, or a warning? Haha. I agree with London in that the sheer greed of the contestants is what makes the 'bankers' role so easy.

What sort of people watch this program?
  • Surely bored people? All you're doing it watching people open boxes with Noel pretending there's some higher meaning to it all.

Perhaps there is a higher meaning, but you and I are so literal that it goes right over our heads...

The issue with this programme is they are all thick. It is simple mathematics regarding probability and I have seen some real howlers on there.

No need to rig a programme which is both played and watched by the stupid.
