There was very little discount last year.

I seem to remember John Lewis price-matched some (all?) the discounts at least online if not in-store last year.

If you haven't got an Apple Store nearby (99.9% population?) then John Lewis customer service is always excellent.

It is when I got my laptop from John Lewis as they price match the Apple sale. So got their two year guarantee instead of Apple's one.

Does anyone know if Apple will be doing the interest free offer this year? I think it is usually launched around Black Friday.

If anyone is after the new Ipod Nano - sainsburys have it reduced already, plus there's a £10 off code. It makes it £109 delivered. :) I can't see it being cheaper in the Apple sale. ;)

    Code Here.

    Thanks to Miffyl on HDUK

Thank you so much for posting that! I was going to wait until Friday but have now bought my husband's Christmas present at a bargain price. :D

  • Hi to All. Can I tell you an Apple story? My daughter wanted a Macbook Air to carry into University. When you look at Apple's website, in the store on the right side of the page, there is a link for 'Education Store'. All Macbooks are then discounted. But what got me was, I called them and asked what discount she could expect if she logged in from Strathclyde University website to buy her Mac. It was discounted by 14%! She got the basic Macbook Air (normally £849) for £729. But what I thought was a cheek - the Apple adviser said if she bought it over the phone (and then emailed evidence she was a student) she got 2 years free insurance & 1 years free phone support - which she wouldn't get instore. My daughter's friend wasn't pleased - she didn't get the extra warranty in the Apple shop. So basically if you want anything Apple, and you know a student - get them to buy it over the phone! There are rules eg no more than one computer purchased in any academic year etc, but the adviser even told me NHS staff get 10% off. Without 'Friday' deals!

Thats fairly standard, I thought it was widely known about the 3 year warranty only being online and not instore. Note it is a warranty and not insurance, don't go dropping the laptop and expecting Apple to replace it
