Sounds yummy Hester x
Still stinky dog smell - hate days like this:eek:I must not fear. Fear is the mind-killer.
Fear is the little-death that brings total obliteration.
I will face my fear. I will permit it to pass over and through me. When it has gone past I will turn the inner eye to see its path.
When the fear has gone there will be nothing. Only I will remain.0 -
Afternoon All
Happy Birthday to RRs Mum
Monnogran - Age is in the mind! You seem to do so much for someone so old!!!
hugs to those needing any, sorry my mind has gone blank after reading.
Nearly late to work again - there was a landslide so one lane of the dual carriageway was closed, found a way to cut through so may take that way again, seemed a lot quicker.
Taken 2 old maps of the area to picture framers as it seems a shame to keep them hidden away, one was a bargain (£3) at the car boot on sunday that DS2 bought me and the other I bought from an internet auction site some time ago. Only downside is that they will cost £36 each to frame!
LO venison casserole for tea so that's nice and easy, work again at 7.
Take care. XX0 -
Hooray , dog is no longer smelliest, DD took him in the big shower upstairs, I think she is wetter than him, but he smells lovely:j
Got home early tonight as we had a power cut at midday and spent the afternoon in the gloom. They had to cut all the power at 4 to mend it so we got to come home early :j Off to book club tonight. monnagran well done with the positive attitude I'm a little younger than you but am amazed by your energy. hope you finished your patchwork. love to all , have a good evening:)£180.00 in 'sistercas'fund
Hope is like the sun, which, as we journey toward it, casts the shadow of our burden behind us.

Hi.
Am feeling very flattered that so many people are surprised at my age, and very thankful that you can't actually see me. If you could you wouldn't be surprised at all.:D
Miffy: I've nearly finished my patchwork but I can tell you that it will be a long time before I attempt 'bow ties' again.:eek::eek:I believe that friends are quiet angels

Evening allNeed to pick up some more stuff for running as I am going most nights now.
RR - happy birthday to your mum x
adelight - hope you are feeling better
Phew! I don't think I sat down once in work today! It was my work kids first day back with me after their 3wks work experience. And we had lots to do. One of them, a girl aged 20, started off 10 weeks ago so shy that she would not even introduce herself to the others. The work experience has really changed her! She looked so much more confident today, her hair was down (normally up), she took her coat off (normally hides in it) and spoke/joked with the others. I'm so proud
I got home from work 15mins early as my colleague borrowed my minibus so I made him drop me off before he dropped the kids off in town. As it was still daylight I went for a jog on my normal route round the lake
really enjoyed it. After a shower, I went to Tesco to do my food shop. I managed to use £10 work of money off coupons, not bad considering the original total was only £33! :rotfl: :j.
OS wise - HM soup taken for lunch, food shop done, recycling sorted, WM been on and is drying on radiators, HM veggie chilli for tea from freezer.
Have a good evening all

I am older than my teeth
:)and I only realise how old I am when I realise my two DDs are almost 45 and 43.I might look 99 on the outside
:) but my outlook is still 28ish.Its when the youngest grandson asks "what was it like in the olden days when you were little and didn't have a t.v.
:) We listened to the wireless, knitted, sewed, read books of course and talked to each other.Far more sociable in those days, what with whist drives and card evenings and singsongs round the piano.Still when driving in my car with the boys we all have a sing song and they all know some quite ancisnt songs that they learned from me that I learned from my old Mum
:)
Today I had the builder chap round and he's coming tomorrow to put a new wooden floor down in the conservatory which means it will be warmer out there when I am doing my crafting.he is such a nice chap and after Christmas will be taking the bath out and fitting me a posh new shower with a seat and renovating my bathroom.Climbing in and out of my bath is becoming a bit daft and dangerous as I'm not that steady on my pins, even thoughI have grab rails here and there.
Shelly is coming along nicely and managed a short walk to her village post office this afternoon (though she didn't tell me ubtil she got home )It is normally a 10 minute walk but it took her 45 there and back but she sensibly retired to the sofa for the rest of the afternoon.
Shalva I do hope you are ok and safe from all the dreadful things that are happening at the moment .Its so sad when you see the pictures on t.v. of the children who look baffled at what's happening. Please God they get a peace settlement soon before more innocents lose their lives
Well time to go and find some dinner I think it will be chicken with something as I defrosted a large chicken quarter this morning
have a good evening everyone

JackieO good idea getting the bathroom done; I spent a month's DLA on a bath lift, as it wasn't doing Mr LW's back any good hauling me out of the bath (I could get in OK, just not get out again) but I didn't want to give up the ability to have a soak in hot water as it really helps my joints first thing in the morning.:oIf your dog thinks you're the best, don't seek a second opinion.;)0

Lame wolf I tried to give the toddler some honey. He refused. Point blank. I may swap him for a dog!
x
Adelight, I don't have any cider vinegar. Thank you though x
He has gone to bed dosed up with infant paracetamol and a small amount of anti histamine to dry out his nasal passages. A pharmacy friend told me that tip.
Went to my sisters this evening to have a belated birthday tea for my daughter.
Oh, have just had a shower so am sat on my bed. The door was pushed open...and in came my kitten! Bless him!
Age is just a number. I am sure I'm still 18.
Good night all

Busy couple of days for me. Yesterday wasn't that well - I've recently started some new meds and they keep having bouts of side effects. Then yesterday afternoon went to a funeral of an old colleague of Mr Rage. Only 57. She was a veggie and a humanist - never been to a humanist funeral before. No hymns and rather short. Then today busy busy. I made a start on clearing the garage and frankly it's a good job I was on my own as I found a box of unpacked china for the cabinet. If Mr Rage had been here I'd had have the "get rid of it" lecture.... but I was very pleased as I thought the stuff in there had been lost forever :j Haven't said what was in the box though - just "stuff"
Hopefully the other boxes are all Mr Rage stuff
Also expecting another delivery of wheat grass tomorrow. The fresh stuff is slight better than the powder that I mix up but I still have to have a small glass of lemonade for straight after :rotfl: Anyway, hope everyone had a good day.
But I'm going to say this once, and once only, Gene. Stay out of Camberwick Green0
