Travelling to Australia for 1 month next year.

Can anyone tell me if you can get free pay and go sim cards in this country?

I don't think they are free but you can buy prepaid sim cards from the main providers usually they include an amount of prepay credit, the the sim cost itself is free but you have a cost in the amount of credit you buy I think they are $ 10, $25, $50 etc..

Telstra, Vodafone, virgin Mobile and Optus ..

There is a mobile phone store when you land in arrivals.

If you are staying in city areas then any of the main providers will be fine .. But Telstra has better coverage if you are going into country area's.
