9/10 adults this year, if my mum can face the noise. Then 9 grandchildren under 7, one will be 6 weeks old by christmas.

This will be my first christmas where I'll actually have to contribute to the cooking end of things instead of just the eating bit!

Have always been at mum and dads for christmas, but this year I'll be with OH and his girls! :D

Just need to get the 'who's cooking the turkey' bit sorted. OH won't touch raw meat and I won't touch anything raw that looks like it looked when it was alive (ie. chicken fillets - ok, chicken legs/wings - not ok)

Figure we'll have to get one of those deboned/pre stuffed things that we can just bung in the over :rotfl:

There will be 9 of us to cook dinner for on Christmas day, ages ranging from 65 to 5! Then in the afternoon, my elder son, daughter-in-law and 2 granddaughters will come over, maybe with eldest granddaughter's boyfriend and his 8 year old son.
Should be fun as this year we have 2 kittens who will be 9 months old, and daughter will bring her little dog who is used to their cat ignoring her.. Unfortunately, because my cats run away, she chases them. I fear for my Christmas tree!

Boxing Day there will be all that lot + my brother, sister-in-law and my 2 nieces (although they may be working). Bubble & squeak & cold meat & pickles for all and apple crumble for pudding..............or my brother says he won't come!:rotfl:

Most I've ever cooked Christmas dinner for is 16 and 24 on Boxing Day.

I love it and wouldn't have it any other way. :)

3 of us, me, my mum and her boyfriend on his narrow boat. I'm contributing to it by bring the After Eights and maybe some veg or something, oh and wine!

Last year there were about 6/7 of us having an 'orphans' Christmas, where we invited friends round who didn't stay with their families on Christmas. It was at my brothers and we cooked a lot of food! It was a good fun day.
  • There will be 14 of us, seven children and seven adults. Two tables. We are all collecting the Tesco Allessi cutlery coupons to get some new irons!

either 7,9 or 10 depending on if oh's mum is feeling up to coming out (she is 89 now), i hope she can because her and his dad are good company and if a friend fancies it.

i will cook the full dinner with all the trimmings and enjoy doing it. oh will get the pleasure of helping serve and load the dishwasher.

  • Only eight of us this year, but that's enough to be cooking for in a teeny oven. Usually my mum does the turkey and it rests in the car on the way over here, but they are stopping Christmas Eve, so looks like I will have to rethink that.

12 or 17 for Christmas Day at my mum's (Irish family means I have loads of nephews and nieces) and 5 for 'fake christmas' with the OH's family.

I LOVE cooking for Christmas, so I'm a wee bit over excited already. I've ordered all the food, printed up all the recipes and made a large timetable (including 'drink wine' at various intervals ;) ).

I refuse to do washing up though - plus by that time my timetable has made me drink far too much wine to be trusted with the crockery!

Only 4 this year. We spend Christmas at home (OH, me & 2 DD's) alternate years my parents come and the next OH's get invited and don't come.

We will be going to my parents for the weekend on 15th Dec and OH's parents on the 22 nd for the day.

We always get a huge fresh, free range turkey from the butchers which lasts us for quite a few meals.
