The past couple of years it's been four of us ( me, my parents and my brother) and I've cooked enough to feed the whole street! We love those three bird roasts from Aldi but seen one in Iceland that looks devine.
This year I'll be eating with bf's family on Christmas day so there will either be five of us or eleven (with one three year old and a one month old). Luckily I'm only making a chocolate cake as my contribution. That leaves three at my parents house unless a family friend goes to them.
Then on boxing day bf and I are going to have a second Christmas dinner with my family! hehe great for me as I love Christmas dinner and I'll still get to help cook one!************************************

This is the first year it will be just the two of us - bit sad really Im used to big family christmas (theres usually about 11 - 13 of us) Not doing anything unusual outside of a typical roast and not much point buying much extra because it would just go to waste!Life is what you make it.0

I am not cooking Christmas dinner on Christmas Day, though I will contribute to it....we will go to my uncle's, who will be cooking for 10 I think. Him, his partner, my mum and dad, my grandparents, my partner and I and my brother and sister.
However, I can't bear the thought of not cooking Christmas dinner so we are having a 'fake Christmas day' with OH's daughter on Saturday 22nd, and I will cook a full proper Christmas dinner that day

We're doing the same on xmas eve, except its our real xmas day.
There will be 5 adults and 1 toddler, plus 2 plated dinners so that my sister and her boyfriend can have dinner together when they see each other on Xmas day (sister is a key worker). I'll cook for 12ish so that there are plenty of leftovers for the next day - bubble and squeak with cold meats etc.Trying to be a man is a waste of a woman0 -

I've done 24 before. Did think of having sittings but borrowed next door's camping table and a trestle table from the church. Ran out of crockery after starters so had to wash up mid way.
This year we have 18 I think and 3 boisterous dogs!! Should be fun.0
