Opinions on En Suite

Just after ppl's advice/experiences. We are due to have our new house built and be in by Crimbo. We are moving from a 2 bed terraced to a 4 bed detached. We have 2 DD's currently 2yo and 3 months.
So....My question is, in the new house we will have a master desroom with en suite for ourselves, a second bedroom with en suite then 2 further bedrooms which will have to share the main bathroom. Is it silly to put a 2yo nearly 3yo in a bedroom with an en suite? Will this be better as a guest suite? Is it best for neither daughter to have it as they might fight when older?
Any thoughts or experiences would be fab
Thanks in advance

Personally, I would save it for guests. I wouldn't be happy unless the kids were prevented from having unsupervised access to prevent floods, accidents etc.Annabeth Charlotte arrived on 7th February 2008, 2.5 weeks early0

I would keep the kids well away from the water in the en suite and use it as a guest room too.
I wouldnt even trust my 7 year old in a room with an en-suite.
Maybe as your girls get older you say let the older girl use it for 'x' amount of years and then swap bedrooms so it is fair and the younger girl gets to have this too.
I have recently done this with my kids when we moved in 3 years ago, youngest was in bigger room then we swapped so oldest had bigger room and we will prob swap again in 4yrs to make it fair.

I think I would keep the second bedroom for guests, no squabbling and as Bun said less potential for misadventure! That way as well your guests have use of the bathroom without disturbing your family routine and the 'other' child doesn't have to go and use their siblings bathroom when you have guests (IYSWIM)0

Guest room. It's a bit of luxury for them and you don't have to clean three bathrooms constantly! Nightmare.
I'm about to move into a house with three toilets and having done it before, I'm seriously considering sealing one up!Everything that is supposed to be in heaven is already here on earth.

Nooooo! We have three, only mine (the ensuite) is out of action and I am missing it badly.
But then I am having to share with 5 chaps ...
 I can't blame you! I wouldn't even open a boy's toilet door! Boys smell. :rotfl:
Having to share with a husband and a son and being the only one that can operate a loo brush, that is the reason I wish for only two, even one, LOL!Everything that is supposed to be in heaven is already here on earth.

As your girls get older you will definately need all 3 bathrooms on the go! My 18 year-old DD can easily spend 2+ hours in the bathroom. I'd say, keep the extra en suite for guests until your DD is older, but be prepared to let her have the room later. The youngest will then have unlimited access to the family bathroom. I would also leave it for guests for now. I wouldn't trust my 4yo to not turn all taps on and flood bathroom etc and since my 7yo sometimes sleep walks and talks and gives the appearance of being wide awake when he's not, I'd worry he'd run himself a bath when asleep and I wouldn't hear him doing it.
When they get older, the one that doesn't get the en-suite, can have the family bathroom to themselves most of the time.0 -
Id leave it for guests for now, and maybe when the girls are older re consider sleeping arrangements.
