Tesco Fair Use question

I'm currently on the sky unlimited package but as I'm cancelling my TV package soon I've looked around for cheapest BB as £25 a month is still a bit much for me.
Tesco seem the cheapest option but my only issue is they seem rather vague about their fair use policy.
"We will only impose a limit on the use of Tesco Broadband to prevent unusual use and abuse. If a customer regularly downloads in excess of normal levels of consumer consumption, for example, 100GB per month"
I'm sorry if I'm being dense but that almost sounds like they can either change it every month or give every customer a different limit. I'd much rather have a definite limit.
Can any Tesco customer, former or current, provide any further info on this?

Why don't you keep your Sky broadband? It will be £10 / month after you cease subscribing + Line rental.
If you pay Sky line rental switching may not be straightforward, as most ISPs require you to have a BT line which you may not, so you would need to go back to BT initially. That gum you like is coming back in style.0 -
Sky use the BT line. BT Openreach had to come and set it up.
Sky BB is £10 + line rental of £14.50 (which I currently don't pay but I still have TV for now I assume when I scrap that my line rental goes back on my bill). I would most likely, dependent on provider, need to pay a switching fee.
I only want to switch to save money, because of energy bills, but I download a lot so it's difficult to see what's best to do.0 -

BT Openreach coming to install your telephone line does not mean you have a BT Line. They do the installation for all the ISPs.That gum you like is coming back in style.0 -
"fair usage" means that if you have typical Internet usage then your download limits will not be capped. If for some reason you are downloading and uploading a lot of data all the time, say streaming your own version of youtube from your home or other nefarious things then they can limit it.0

Sky to Tesco...why?No free lunch, and no free laptop0

OP seems to think it will be cheaper, I think they may be on Skys Voice and Broadband network , so transferring may not be that simple.
Anyhoo its up to the OP.That gum you like is coming back in style.0 -
It was purely because I wanted to save money. With the price of everything going up I wanted to spend as little as possible. I called Sky managed to get another discount on my account (OT: Sky really do love to keep customers makes you think do you get overcharged if you can get a no line rental discount then 5% on the TV adds up to about £16 p/m for me.)
It's practically impossible for me to move due to my usage. I wouldn't touch BT and I've no issues with Sky. I was thinking Virgin before I saw their prices I pay less for more channels.
I am well aware of what fair use policies are my point was Tesco seem quiet vague about what theirs is compared to others who, although not always up front, have a defined value eg 40GB. Tesco make it sound like they could make it what they want. As I said I'm a high user so they could make mine 50GB but a low user might get 80GB. Or even change it so areas of high population get low and small towns get larger.0 -
If it's necessary to economise, then drop the sub TV channels and use Freesat from Sky or Freesat, that will save you far more than the cost of your broadband. No free lunch, and no free laptop0
