  • Can you take his credit card with you?

At Michael McIntyre earlier this year ticketing was done similarly for the front blocks. Whilst it said photo id was required, the guy with the machine just swiped my credit card and it printed out the tickets (they were more like tickets you get on buses when they came out the machine).

Not saying it will be the same for Robbie, but if all else fails worth a try.
  • Thank You to all who have tried to help out with this issue it seems after taking the day off work to sort this (I knew I would need to as I wasn't getting anywhere) I may just have gotten myself entrance to the show tomorrow night, I'll post if I get in- we'll see and then I'll let you know what to and what not to do when pondering buying 'paperless' tickets. It's been a nightmare!

    Good Luck - I saw him at Glastonbury in 1998 and there may have been a another year { sorry they all merge into one as I have been going since 1979 }

it may look a nice sunny day but that year there was severe floods and storms - wont forget that in a hurry as the large marquee tent I was working in was struck by lighting and fully collapsed.

if you know Glastonbury you may be puzzled by the video .

That is the Pyramid area but officially it was not called the Pyramid Stage in 1998 as it did not have its distinctive pyramid shape.

The original Pyramid Stage was burnt down in 1994 and was not replaced by a new Pyramid Stage until 2000 so between 1994 and 2000 a temporary main stage was used.

Anyway it was a cracking concert and he really did win over the crowd.

Any advice on what you can get in - drink?
  • We went last night he was awesome as usual. They do check your confirmation email and photo id and swipe your card. We were in standing and started queuing at 345 they opened the gate at 630 and we were at the front.

They let us take plastic bottles but no lids.

It would be good if coppermiffed came back to tell us their experience.

I went last night. Great show.

On entry, they swiped the original credit card & this gave access. I had my booking printed out & driv lic ready but it wasn't checked.

There was a MASSIVE queue though to get in. Door opened at 6.45 & we joined the queue at about 7.15. Waited 30-40 mins to get through the queue.

That said, as there was only one queue you knew that noone was going to arrive later & get in sooner (we were standing).

There's an annoucement by Robbie tomorrow afternoon which I think will be summer shows.

this is strange - I went last year to a Roger Waters concert { a complete sell out event } and had to pick up my paper ticket outside { at the ticket booth } - for some reason there was no queue . Picked up my ticket and then went to one of the indoor bars.Later on I entered the main arena - my ticket was for block A1 on the ground floor { which would have been where you were standing at your visit } and there was no queue at all so ticket was scanned and I was directed to block A1 .

So one has to wonder which system is better.

while the Robbie Williams concert had standing there was of course a large middle stage where the concert I went to had the stage in the normal area and all the ground floor was seats but when you think about it - it takes longer to find a seat rather than just walking in and standing wherever so there has to be some reason why a queue is forming.

Will find out tonight - I have a friend from Iceland who is flying in today as he has Rolling Stones tickets for tonight so will learn later if he had to join a queue - he has a e-ticket.
