Evening all, got to Sada again today, and searched the place from top to bottom, and asked every available SA, to find FF, but no such luck, they said they can't believe how quick they were flying off the shelves( I wonder why!!!!, come on own up who is from around the Tam***th area???). So no glitching for me again. Going to a Tosco tomorrow, near my parents, anything I should be looking out for??

They haven't said they will stop putting the price up before they put it on offer

What they have agreed is that the price will be artificially high for the same length of time as the subsequent promo runs

At least that's how I read it

You are probably right - whichever way they change it, we will still get stung (or most consumers will - we tend to spot what they are up to ;)).

You know that all is not what it seems when Ts agree to sign up as it matches their policy anyway, apparently ...:rotfl:So that wasn't inflated prices on coffee, toilet rolls, Robinsons etc during the recent petrol promotion ... ;).

The findings suggested that the supermarkets have broken no law, so that is alright then. You find that they tend to put the price up on one sized pack at the same time as reducing another (so multi packs of Walkers crisps for example) to comply with the legislation. The higher priced item is then left on the shelves but not necessarily with the rest of that item. Later it goes on promotion at a slightly lower price and they can safely claim that it has been on sale at the higher price for X days/weeks. I have seen this too often in store for it not to be policy.

Half price stawberries anyone? Alternate Penguin biscuits offer - Half price, BOGOF, 100% extra free flash packs. Muller yoghurts ... Tins of Quality Street/Roses/Celebrations starting on "offer" at half price in Ts at £5, normal price in other stores at £5 ... then offers kick in about 3/4 weeks later at £3.99 for example (so really £5 is the "normal" price ... and that is for a smaller sized tin than previous years).

I could go on - we all know that there are certain items that are nearly always on some form of offer at one of the supermarkets, which means that (if you shop around) the lower price is the standard price, IYSWIM.
