Thanks millypop I think some stores are still taking them. My sis was able to use them at her local store last night.

Hi sis yeah was able to use asda fiver and tosco mailing cond spend in 1 shop went thru ss and neither of them needed authorisation I thinkyour local storemust've been swamped by asda fivers and that's why they won't take them anymore

Thanks to Rebeccalb - I did give Argos a quick email earlier reg: wrongly advertised advent calender and a nice giftcard winging its way to me in 7 -10days lol - Great customers service - only 2hrs from emailing them I got a phone call !

Hi sis thanks for letting me know. At least now I have no lazy excuse not to drag myself to Mr A next week. Expect a call during the week requesting a shopping list and strict instructions.
