• Happy St Andrew's Day for those north of the border. Why isn't Martin wearing tartan or brandishing a thistle?

No thistle but the web team must have heard you! :rotfl:

Thanks couponqueen :)

Yes I was proud of him this morning as he told the principal names and the leader etc. He is only 8 but has to learn to pick his friends more carefully iyswim.:) I was cross as well because my hubby had been in the school yesterday afternoon helping set up for the event last night and he was not told anything and then I come home from work to ds in tears wanting to tell me all

Anyway hopefully that is the end of it and he will be able to move on. :)

I think it is great when young kids get the understanding of helping others and reporting rather than trying to deal with everything themselves and getting in more trouble.

the school got a cheek geting your hubby to help set up while yr sons distressed and not saying nout id be having words about that

I did - last night and this morning. :( I think they understand we expect to be told if something is serious enough for a child to be so upset especially when he hadn't been involved in the incident. In fairness the school are normally very good at dealing with things, so I think maybe yesterday was so busy that this was dealt with quickly rather than properly and the fallout was not good. Ds is quite an emotional child at times and he fully knows right from wrong so knows if he had done something then the punishment is going to come but to be accused etc and not told that they were wrong was just not good enough.
Hopefully I got the message through this morning but will wait until I see ds this afternoon to see if any more fallout today.:)
Smile :) and hopefully the world will smile back

I baked 3 Xmas cakes last weekend and have just brushed some more brandy over them to keep moist before the marzipan goes on. Is it wrong that I licked the brandy laden brush after:eek::rotfl::rotfl:

Licking the cake would have been wrong!!

Morning all, I hope everyone is well.

I just thought I would let you know that if you managed to get the Jergens body moisturiser £1 moc they have it half price in B@@ts at £1.74 so 74p with coupon. It is a large tube so think
it is worth the money :D. I hope this helps somebody.

Also, thanks for everybody that replied to my question regarding banks taking loose change. My Lloyds took it with no problem and even offered me some cash bags. x
