No he's 20 and not on any benefits (although classed as a disabled student)

    HI
Is he still at school or working or getting any benefits? The reason I ask is you can check as there are a lot of exemptions from these charges. Also many places inc Ts give free sight tests.HTH

Yes I was just thinking this as I think Asda also do free sight tests.

But his timetable is so jam packed it has to be a lunchtime appointment so it will have to be a local place. I think there is spec savers, boots optitions and local ones.

There was one many years ago with the mobile phone boxes.
I used to list empty boxes from our new contract phones each time we got an upgrade.
Listings always clearly stated in the title that it was an empty box they were buying and most went for at least £50-£100.
We had great feedback from most buyers and thought this was great until one day we were contacted by our network about our phone being damaged in the post. We told them that none of our mobiles had been posted anywhere and that we still had them on us. According to royal mail our phone had been damaged beyond recognition while being delivered and the only info they had to go by was the numbers on the side of the boxes but as it had been fully insured when posted it would be replaced  so somewhere out there someone was making a profit on insuring boxes with (I'm guessing) already faulty phones in them!

I'm not saying this is what's happening here but this is why I stopped selling them empty boxes on there. I suppose it was the naivety of youth that meant I never thought of what they were doing with my boxes but even now I don't send the boxes with stuff incase something like this happens again.

I would never buy a phone on ebay in case the seller reported it as stolen 3 months later. Too late to claim back the cost through paypal and a brick in my hand.

He should be able to get help through the HC1 form, just because he is on a low income.

Found just now on Grabbit - 25% off Pet Food and Accessories in T's from this Thursday - Sunday

I wonder if it would work in our favour like the cleaning event?

Me too, I didn't need one but for that price...

When does "need" ever come into it when there's a bargain to be had!! :D

I bought one of T's own brand SS toasters fairly recently and its absolute carp!! I might see if I can get a refund on it as no matter what setting you have it on, it either pops the toast up the second you put it in, or otherwise burns it to a crisp!!

Which reminds me I need to return a hand blender to Sainsbobs. Sparks shot out of the handle when I used it the other day
My husband says he will leave me if I don't stop shopping......... God I will miss that man.

The reviews on the £4.99 toaster say it's very good too, much better quality than expected and they paid £10 for it!:T:T:T
