Sending big hugs to you bubbs. I know Billing Aquadrome well. We used to take our touring caravan there regularly when the kids were little. We saw it on tv last night, it is terrible. You poor things I hope it gets better very soon x

  • Afternoon all.

For the NI gang - i've just been refused using an apg in the new Tes at C'reagh. Was told they are not taking any printed coupons at all now... I didn't argue but just wondered if anyone else had heard and if it was across all NI stores. Anyone else had probs?

I've used them in that store before but not recently.

  • I knew it! Since I wasn't able to use them there, I thought I'd see if knock'g would still take them - signs still up so knew it would be ok ... BUT I found 6 Disney DVDs with the out of date bogof stickers and 6 other DVDs with an out of date bogof SEL! Nice little £120 DTD for me!

Apg accepted no problem as well

    That'll teach 'em!!

Which DVDs did you find? I've got multiple copies of a few of them ;)

On a couple of my sada recs I noticed the person had used MOCs worth £3.10 - are these the ones given to families with babies?

Sorry I know this is a nosey question but are they given to all familes - up to what age baby? Or is it just familes on low incomes or on benefits.

Both recs had milk on them and another baby item but otherwise the milk was less than £3.10 - no fruit or veg or baby food etc. So do these coupons scan if you have any milk in your basket?

Also how are they issued, do they come in the post or do you collect them from the clinic and how many a month do you get?

(Listening to the Archers there is a story line about a young couple struggling desperatley and it made me think I wonder if they have thought of being assessed to see if they are eligible for any benefits :) )

I was listening to a radio article at lunchtime about N Power putting up their fuel rates next week and they were talking about a social tarif which is being phased out. It was for people with very low incomes below £13 thousand. Our house bills come to more than this I dont know how people manage.

These are the 'healthy start' coupons, my cousin gets one a week for her baby to buy milk for him. I think she gets them until he starts school but I think it's low income based as she's a student.
They can be used even if only a pint of milk is bought, so long as milk or fruit is bought they'll scan. HTH
