Not everyone has all the shops near them, so it can save the trouble of them travelling to each shop indivdually.
Also Asda offer difference if they're not 10% cheaper, so good for stuff same price or cheaper in Tesco's.
Whereas Tesco's offer clubcard points, so good for stuff cheaper in Asda.

  • I'm afraid there is too much to say in just a single post and no, it is not just about getting the difference back on our shopping.

Read page 1 of this thread which will give you the gist of what we are doing, then go back 10 pages or so from here and just read, read, read.

If you are prepared to put in the time and effort into reading and contributing to the elite you will find that you will save shed loads of cash in a short space of time and you will never be able to shop the way you currently do ever again.:D:D:D

    Enjoy...

I'll second what QoC says about the Ikea meatballs, they are great tasting.
Also, another great thing about them is they are on tap from the freezer whenever needed.

.... When I mentioned it to one of the suits at the "good" store there, he said it was because they are tasked atm with increasing turnover and footfall, so the savvy manager is interested in getting people through the doors and spending - profits are an issue further down the line.

Waitrose currently have a promo on offering 20% off malts. No idea if their base prices are competitive, but may be worth checking out or looking at in terms of a TPP or APG

Thanks RN for the tip off re Waitrose, I'll have a little look. The first part of your post I've quoted could be a good reason for another wine fest? Here's hoping.
    Hope is not a strategy.
