Many thanks for the shiney new thread worrywort - great name
I am all caught up now. Bathroom flooring now fitted but as it was about 3pm, it was too late for other workman to come back to finish off, so I now have to wait until tomorrow for my shower   me no likey not having a shower for over a week
After he left, I went into the bathroom for a good look at what he'd done, and pulled the wrong cord to put the light on, thought nothing more about it and pulled the right one. Came back through and found electric had gone off. Rang up and the contractors said they'd send an electrian round. Trip Switch wouldn't stay back up when I tried to reset it, but I then pulled the shower cord again and the trip switch stayed up, so power on again. Contractors then said it will be ok till tomorrow morning if I had power again, and that the shower hadn't been connected up to electricity yet, which is why it tripped the switch. I will add that this was the first time I have had to do anything like sort a trip switchYou don't realise about these things until you are on your own. I knew about them, but never had to do it myself before

Ok , so are we saying that 1. you go into asda and buy all these items, and then compare em with tesco and cos tesco are cheaper asda gives yoy the difference back? Why not just shop at tesco in the first place?
Or are we saying that 2. You just buy the items in red?
Then what happens?
Sorry for being sctupid!
The items in red are cheaper at sada so you will not get an apg on any of these. you must buy more exspensive in sada and it will compare againt a competing store and then sada will give you the difference plus 10% of the competitors basket. The person who never makes a mistake never learns anything.0 -

Totally OT but when my hubby went to pay for petrol for his motorbike yesterday it was cheaper than it said on the pump.
According to the guy in the petrol station there is a glut of super unleaded in the country at the moment so garages are selling it off cheaper to get rid of it.
I think DH paid around £1.28 a litre.
What is the difference between unleaded and super unleaded though and is it OK to use on any petrol vehicle or is it just for bikes etc.?My husband says he will leave me if I don't stop shopping......... God I will miss that man.0 -

Hi Susan
Great news that mam is getting on nicely now bless her. I know it could have been confusing for her but didn't she do well. At least she returned to the home in good spirits and happy to tell the nurses next day about it all. :A
I'm not planning a trip home this side of christmas but may do after New Year.
Oh, how I miss the geordie sights and sounds, the older I get the more I feel I want to go back and put my roots down where they truely belong
You are doing well too Susan, well done sweetheart, and enjoy your next trip home too. x
Ooh, it still quoted from old thread :j I know how you feel about 'home' hun and I did consider moving back up then when Alan died, but I have friends down here, whereas all my family are up North but I don't have any friends up there anymore with being away since 1985. And, if I moved back up there, it is a very long way to go to visit Steve, Andy & Kit in Portsmouth and for them to visit meI would not rule out moving back up at some point in the future though, to be with my family. Once a Geordie, always a Geordie  :j :j
