PCN Issued...why i don't fully understand
Comments

The main road has a DYL, i was talking about the bit i was parked on. I was saying that i understand teh validity of yellow lines...but there wasn't yellow lines on the section that the car was parked at. And if it was a problem then why was i the only one to get a ticket. Thats the bit i don't understand.0

Whether anybody else got a ticket is sadly irrelevant. The CEO could quite happily choose to ticket one car and ignore the rest because he didn't like the colour. Sorry.
In the photo, all four cars are subject to the yellow lines. The restrictions extend all the way onto the pavement, roads, verges, side roads etc. You don't have to be physically on the line.
I wouldn't be parking there every day and anyone getting away with it is very lucky!0 -
On Google Maps the entire street has double yellows, which bit were you parked on?Je Suis Cecil.0

it doesn't explain why out of the three cars only i was issued with a ticket. Surely it should have been given to all three.
From your pic, your car seems to be blocking the pavement while the others aren't, so could this be why? Though that doesn't really tally with "parked in a restricted street during prescribed hours"Now free from the incompetence of vodafail0 -
There's double yellows right behind those two cars.
As mentioned several times in this thread, the double yellow restriction applies from the centre of the road right up to the property boundary at the sides, that includes those spaces where those two cars are parked on Google Maps. They are parked on double yellows.Je Suis Cecil.0 -
I must admit i didn't realise that the DYL restrictions extend to points beyond the line. So would you say i have no chance of contesting this and that i should just pay up.0

There's no harm in appealing, I would advise you go to www.pepipoo.com and post up your PCN (all sides) in the Council Tickets section to see if the experts on there have any suggestions to include in your appeal.Je Suis Cecil.0

We would almost never say that! As ManxRed says, this is one to appeal which is always worth a try with the help of pepipoo posters.PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).
