Hi all,Just looking at the nationwide credit card offering. 0 percent balance transfer deal. Can aNyone tell me more about the online soft quote they offer......is this a real indication of acceptance and does it leave or damage my credit history........as I'm sure many of you are I don't want to make lots of applications. Do any other credit card companies offer this soft quote service.....?
Also does anyone know if this is a good card to go for.......I'm looking for a card with a high chance of acceptance in general.
Thank you

The Nationwide soft-quote will not appear on your credit report, but if you decide to apply for the card, you may or may not be accepted and this WILL leave a mark on your credit report.
The soft-quote is only a general indication, not a guaranteed acceptance. Barclays also offer a similar service (and have been known to decline you after sending out the card and PIN)0 -
The last time I did a Nationwide credit card pre application check it appeared as a quotation search on my experian credit report. However it will not effect your credit rating at all.Im an ex employee RBS GroupHowever Any Opinion Given On MSE Is Strictly My Own0

Not exactly a lot of help without knowing the credit limit.
Also all quotes are 0% and everyone gets a quote wether they've got the best credit history or the worst credit history but the credit limit quoted is normally a good indication.0 -

From anecdotal evidence on here, most declines show up in the soft quote with an APR of 19.9% and a credit limit of £500 ... so it looks promising.
By no means guaranteed though - it's only indicative.0 -
Sorry the credit limit is 5500 maximum ........ Any ideas?0
