Food for thought- do all chefs and kitchen staff wash their hands before they cook your meal?

    :D

Well, assuming they have been trained, they should. One just hopes they do. And, come to that, shop staff who handle food...

Personally I just really don't want to give teachers gifts - not because I don't think they deserve them, because I am sure 99% of them do but I do believe people are pressured by other parents into feeling like they *should* buy presents.

This is my bugbear, too. Especially when it gets competitive.

A card is lovely; all mine come home and are displayed. I do, however appreciate every gift and card I receive; I open them in front of the child so that they can enjoy watching me open them, the child gets a verbal thank you on the day and I try VERY hard to keep a tally of who gave me what - simply so that I can write a thank you card for each child. I eat the homemade stuff!
But I cannot eat all the chocolates etc so I share them with my family. DS was gutted last year - they'd had a collection! I got a gift voucher and he didn't have ANY chocolates to munch!
Don't put it DOWN; put it AWAY
