Saving eBay web page listings

Can anyone suggest best way to save eBay web page listings ?
They have recently changed format of web pages, so that Save HTML Only using Internet Explorer only saves description text, not surrounding information.
I'd rather avoid if possible Save as Complete or MHT Single File which take up a lot of space .
I want to save all main information of a listing.

You want the info out of just one listing? Just copy paste it into a new document.0

I want an easy way to regularly save listing information of things I buy & of things for reference, preferably in the format of web page.quotememiserable wrote: »You want the info out of just one listing? Just copy paste it into a new document.0 -
Select all on the page (Ctrl+A) and copy (Ctrl+C), then paste into any text editor (Ctrl+V into Notepad for instance) and that saves all the text from the page, usually logically split by lines and paragraph breaks. Because it's plain text it doesn't take much space.
Do you need pictures as well?
If so take a Screen Print with Alt+PrtScrn, and paste that into Paint or similar picture editor and save as JPG or BMP. Take multiples if the listing covers more than one page.
Surely once your purchase has arrived, and you've seen it in the flesh, you won't need the listing any more? Listings stay visible long enough for you to compare the purchase with the actual listing, don't they?0 -

Are you saving these as the buyer or seller?
no need for that in Vista or newer Windows PCs
The snipping tool does the job0 -
for reference, I mean items I haven't bought, but want to keep copy of listing to reference in future.when you say reference. do you mean the seller, sales price etc
or what?
I always keep copies of listings of things I have bought.
If you collect things it's good to keep copy of listing information which can be detailed, you wouldn't know unless you are an expert & difficult to find otherwise.

well you can easily grab a screen grab of the page with all the info
also you can save it to a folder and link it to the likes of Dropbox
so it can be uploaded and archived automatically

I'll try that as it won't take much space in a text file.Select all on the page (Ctrl+A) and copy (Ctrl+C), then paste into any text editor (Ctrl+V into Notepad for instance) and that saves all the text from the page, usually logically split by lines and paragraph breaks. I always save pictures, just right click on image & save.
If you collect things, it's good to have copy of listing & information.

Exactly what I was going to recommend, it's very easy to save the files this way and it usually maintains all the formatting and detail. Can be handy for other things as well as it basically allows you to export anything to pdf that you can print without needing any additional support from the application.
