Hats off to O2

As an alternative to the usual threads, I'd thought I'd post an instance of what I think is decent service.

At around 12.45 yesterday I noticed that my PC was showing 'No network access'.
I finished what I was doing, and was about to investigate when I received a text from O2 at 13.11.

'We've noticed a line fault that might affect broadband in your area. Sorry, we're working on it and we'll let you know as soon as it's fixed'.

After a few false starts it came back properly at around 19.45.
At 20.30 I received another text,

'We've got your broadband back up and running. It should be back to normal now'.

That's the first break in service in 25months.
£6.25/mth for the All Rounder (retention)
Move along, nothing to see.

Wholly agree they can offer decent customer service akin to a specialist provider.
In 28 months i never had cause to blame them on anything, it was BT managed line with several hundred dropouts a day.

If they jumped on the FTTC bandwagon two years or more ago i would still be with them.
