help needed please regarding mobile.co.uk

Last weekend i decided to buy a new mobile phone.
i looked around and the best deal i could find was from Mobiles.co.uk

Anyway i ordered it on line with next day delivery.
i didnt expect it on the monday as it was ordered at the weekend. However i did expect it to turn up on tuesday.

Tuesday came no phone. i got all the email conformation to say that it was on its way.
And when i looked on line it said that it was awaiting dispatch.

i have called up Mobiles.co.uk this week ( friday) to ask them when it will be delivered and they have stated that only the paper work is at the depot and they would investigate.

its been over a week now and no phone.
i really want to cancel with this company now and go and get a phone from a shop.
Do you think i am able to?

yes under dsr regs phone them up and cancel if they refuse quote distance selling regs at them.

Thanks Basil. On friday when i phoned them up they said i was unable to cancel until an investigation had been done.
i asked how long this would take and they replied about a week.
And all this time i would have been left without a phone.

You've got to laugh at their attitude.

With DSR's you have got 7 working days following delivery in which to cancel and it's not even been delivered yet.

Just email them and cancel it and get one from a proper supplier

But they haven't delivered it yet.-Until they've investigated the whereabouts of the phone, they won't cancel the airtime contract.

Of course you can ....you can cancel up to 7 days following delivery ....you don't have to wait untill it's delivered
