Tesco price increase

Tesco do their 1000 price cuts across the store and I know that they will do 1000 price increases too (but obviously that part is not advertised!!!)
I went to buy my usual Tesco fabric softener which is normally 83p and this week the price has increased to 1.00!!!
This really annoyed me that it has been increased by 17p. I could understand 5p but 17p is a lot when it only 83p in first place! It may not seem much to some people but I think it is a mickey take!!
Anyone else noticed any ridiculous price increases?????

Try shopping around. I find that shopping around saves money.
Recently I noticed that carrots in Tesco were 2pence per pound cheaper than Sainsburys. BUt Sainsburys carrots taste better. I think they use less chemicals on their carrots.
However if I buy carrots from Tesco I'll get clubcard points (which are four times their face value). With the points I could purchase something to take the taste of their carrots away.
Moral of the story. ?? ? ? Shop around.0 -
I personally think that Tesco put prices up just after the petrol fiasco. I suppose they have to recoup the money somehow!"fools and fanatics are always so certain of themselves, and wiser people so full of doubts." (Bertrand Russell)0

Most of Tesco's special offers are a con trick that rely on ridiculously inflated pre-promotion prices.
For example they always have premium brand toothbrushes on Buy One Get One Free for £1.99/£2.49 - but then you go into Home Bargains and find the same toothbrush is selling for 69p!0
