Quidco has a mobile app that if downloaded and used, gives you £10 off a spend in a particular store.

I have an old Nokia 5800 phone and don't know the first thing about apps.

Is this something that would work on an ipod touch?

I've accessed my Tesco account by using the touch whilst out one day but I suspect that's a different process and not what this Quidco mobile app is all about?

Assuming that you're referring to the "Quidco mobile app", the notes for the "Download for iPhone" variant of this app state that it is:

"Compatible with iPhone, iPod touch and iPad. Requires iOS 4.0 or later."
